            Everyone is encouraged to attend this reunion and to contact other ASA-E Frankfurt friends. The 2017 Fredericksburg Reunion fee is $125.00 per person. Please contact Larry Paff (larry.paff@zoomtown.com for registration form and payment of fee. .  Please complete the Reunion Registration form not later than July 15, 2017.


Attendees are required to make their own room reservations with a credit card for the first night by calling the hotel direct at (830) 990-9202.  Ask for the “US Army Security Agency (USASAE-Frankfurt) Reunion Guest Room Block.  The rate will be $91.00 + 13% tax ($11.83 on $91), totaling $102.83 per night for a standard 2-room suites with either 1 king or 2 queen beds.  The special rate includes a deluxe hot breakfast bar each morning.  There is elevator access to the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms and complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the hotel.  We also contracted for the use of the 2500 sq. ft. Adm Chester W. Nimitz room in the Walch Haus Conference Center for our hospitality suite and Reunion Dinner Banquet.  You can familiarize yourselves with the hotel by browsing through the hotel’s website.


The “Cut-Off” date for accepting reservations into this guest room block is Saturday, September 30th, 2017.  Reservations must be made by calling the hotel direct.  The special reunion rate will not be available through on-line booking services.  If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours prior to your arrival date to avoid cancellation penalties.  This rate will also be available two (2) days before the reunion dates.  The rates for Friday and Saturday nights after the reunion are somewhat higher although the hotel may be able to offer the reunion rates if you reserve early enough.

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

 

Check into the Inn on Baron’s Creek.  Register and pick up your name badges and welcome bag.  Stop by the hospitality room to say hello.  Dinner on your own, suggestions will be in your welcome bag.  After dinner, gather at the Hospitality Suite for Drinks, visiting, sharing pictures, war stories; and discussing life and careers after Frankfurt                       

 

Wednesday November 1, 2017

 

Breakfast at the hotel then depart for a narrated Guided History Tour of the LBJ Ranch and Texas White House with a stop for lunch at the Wildseed Farms (tour and lunch included as part of reunion fee).  The afternoon is free for roaming Fredericksburg’s Historic Main Street or visit with old friends in the hospitality suite.  We will also have the local Convention and Visitors Bureau provide information on local activities and attractions for those attendees who might want choose to do some independent sightseeing.

 

 In the evening we will all gather for a Dutch Treat Dinner at the Fredericksburg Brewing Company featuring German food.  After dinner, gather at the Hospitality Suite for Drinks, visiting, sharing pictures, war stories; and discussing life and careers after Frankfurt.

 

Thursday, November 2, 2017

 

Breakfast in the hotel then depart for a Tour of the Smithsonian quality National Museum of the Pacific War.  Tickets will be provided as part of your reunion fee.  Wheelchairs and audio wands are available for free at the Museum.  This is a self-guided tour and you will probably need from 2 to 4 hours to visit the main venues.  Tickets are good for 48 hours and will be distributed on Tuesday so those with more of an interest can take advantage of the 48 hour ticket and make multiple visits.  Lunch on your own on Main Street – suggestions will be provided.  In the afternoon, you can choose an optional tour to the Grape Creek Vineyards for a wine tasting.  The Tour Length is Approx. 2.5 hours.  We will also have the local Convention and Visitors Bureau provide information on local activities and attractions for those attendees who might want choose to do some independent sightseeing.  Or, you may choose to visit with old friends in the hospitality suite.

 

 In the evening we will have our catered Reunion Dinner Banquet at the hotel.  This is included in your reunion fee.  After dinner, gather at the Hospitality Suite for Drinks, visiting, sharing pictures, war stories; and discussing life and careers after Frankfurt.

Breakfast at the hotel then say your final goodbyes in the Hospitality suite until next time!  Check out of the Inn on Barons’ Creek and head home.
